Hike + prayer in Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts District

Crossroads Church is a group of people following Jesus in and around downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

We started Crossroads in 2009, so we’re a young church, growing slowly and steadily. At the moment, our crowd could fit into a decent-sized coffee shop, say, Crossroads Coffee (great name, by the way).

We sometimes share space with a local nonprofit, ArtsTech, and meet weekly in downtown homes at 9am Sundays. This is ideal for us, because our mission is to enter our city’s marketplaces, cultures, and arts communities. We want to emulate Jesus, who lived in the thick of his society to restore both individual hearts and entire cities.

We don’t see church as a spectator sport. If you stick around, you’ll be challenged to let Jesus’ message, the gospel, soak into your life, treat your career as a missionary sphere of influence, and serve sacrificially, because we have such a generous, initiative-taking God. City groups is a central way this happens.
