Our Story

West Bottoms

Crossroads Church began with four people in a loft apartment in Fall 2008, and grew organically over the next several months.

In November 2009, we started services in the Arts Incubator. When the Arts Incubator closed in 2011, we moved a few blocks east to ArtsTech, a nonprofit where we currently volunteer and sometimes host events.

We also hold informal weekly church services in homes around downtown and throw pretty great First Friday parties.

Inspired by accounts of the church Jesus started in the Bible book of Acts, our goal from the beginning was to live and serve in downtown Kansas City, keep Jesus at the center of our community, and enshrine NCAA Basketball as one of our core values.
